Baby Hoodie (Crochet) Made Buyer Happy

Crocheted Baby Hoodie  9-12 mo - $25
I only had one of my fave crocheted baby hoodies in my shop recently. Someone just bought it and I am happy to say she was satisfied with the purchase. Her comment was that it was "...even nicer than I expected..."

I will be making a half dozen more over the coming weeks in various colors. Winter is upon some states already.

This style is so adorable and comfy. It helps that it is a pattern that I truly enjoy. I love working it.

I might not have the heart buttons on all of them. The ones I preferred are not always available but they look just as cute with round buttons. The style suits both boy and girl babies equally well.

Battery Powered Bead Spinner (2/05)

I have never seen or heard of a bead spinner, but this looks like something I would truly love to play with. Threading beads and controlling beads for projects is a chore. This little gem looks fantastic.

It is also made by Darice, a brand most of us trust.

FaveCrafts is giving this one away. You can go to their site to enter to win one of these handy tools for beaders. The reviewer gives you some great details.

All About Drawing Horses & Pets (1/12)*

FaveCrafts has a giveaway for a great drawing book for kids, but I do not see why an adult would not enjoy it for basic animal drawing tips, as well.

As Maria Nerius, FaveCrafts reviewer says, this is "Recommended for children 6, this book will delight both boys and girls. You start with basic shapes and begin to fill in the details. My favorite part of the book is the Getting Started section, which explains that the artist must see the shapes in the subject matter. Shapes like circles, ovals, and triangles become the building blocks of any animal. I enjoyed the exercise on page 3 and found all the shapes! The book is also full of Fun Facts that add interest to the subject matter like the fact that the first house cats were descendants of African and European wild cats. Walter Foster has a strong reputation of publishing books that reach the budding child or teen artist. Bright, well illustrated, and on trend, this book can help you learn drawing at any age!"

Hop on over to FaveCrafts and enter to win this one.

FaveCrafts - A Fave for the Un-Crafty

This site, FaveCrafts, has a ton of ideas for quick gift projects for both seasoned crafters and for those who are totally terrified of tackling any handcrafted gift.

As soon as I went to their site tonight, I saw the Quick Glitter Pine Cones. That "Quick" part caught my eye. The instructions make it very easy - I might even look for pine cones on sale after Christmas and try these myself for next year! Even I can do these, especially using their suggested easy techniques.

FaveCrafts categories include everything you would expect, plus Garden, Scrapbooking, Leather, Soap, Candle, Unexpected Ideas, Tips and Techniques, and even Upcoming Craft Fairs.

Of course, they have many projects suitable for kids, but I peek there for quick-and-easy stuff and because I know if a kid can do it, I can probably do it. Here are a few that caught my eye: Tiered Christmas Tree (especially the curled version), Reindeer Ornament, and Cute Beaded Icicle Swirls (I would probably put an extra few "swirls" in mine).

If you register at FaveCrafts, you not only receive regular emails with their newest projects, but you may also Add projects which catch your eye, for later use, without having to save or print. You will also get notices about regular free Giveaways.

One more thing I love about FaveCrafts is their large collection of FREE downloadable e-books for many different crafts. Again, if you register, they email you whenever they add new free e-books. Titles include Cheap and Easy Crafts, Quick and Easy Christmas Crafts, and Creative Ideas for the Holiday Home.

As much as I love this site, I love even more their regular emails with updates and with their Free Giveaways. I often list their Giveaways in my sidebar because many of them are so good.

Bottom Line: FaveCrafts is a great site to browse when you need to begin a stash of emergency gifts and you want them quick and easy, but nice looking.
