I plan to work on re-building my personal stash of plastic
canvas satin-ribbon crosses. I have none in my purse or stash at the moment. If
I finish weaving the ones I've already cut, I will go on to some
pocket-crosses. I found a little tin of pre-cut shapes (both front and back)
from Jane, about a month ago, and I can enjoy using up yarn scraps on those,
and re-building a stash of those, as well.
Because I try to avoid heavy work at least one day a way to
observe a "Lord's Day," about the only thing I'll do additionally is
to simply rearrange the innards of the upright freezer. That's really quick and
easy once I get going.
If I feel "intelligent," I might work a bit on the
summer newsletter but I can easily put that off until tomorrow. I don't print
until Wednesday.
I already made 7 servings of oatmeal, froze a two-serving
container, and slid the others into the fridge for the coming week. Coffee is
already in there for another 3 days.
I've already nuked a bag of baby carrots, with raisins, and
after they cool, will hand mash with an avocado for some carrot/raisin/avocado
salad for easy snackin' for the fridge.
Not sure when the winds and rain might appear today, but I
might make it out onto the front porch for a little while. I've really wanted
to make that more "live-able" for myself and the fat-cat. I do need
an area rug for out there, and I do need, this coming week, before our heat
rolls in, to hose off a few plastic crates and my one plastic chair for out
there.
Later, I'll rinse and cut the potatoes I've got and toss
them into the crockpot for overnight. Tomorrow I add milk and process them into
mashies and stash in serving sizes. Even though I really avoid white potatoes,
they were free, and honestly, once in a while, maybe every other week, I get a craving
for them. I'm currently yearning for a "mashed potato patty" lightly
browned/crispy on top and bottom from olive oil spray, from the non-stick
skillet.
Anyhow, none of this is heavy. All of it has merit. Looking
forward to the rest of the day. Rolling along.
