Friday the 17th Finished Projects

One of our "invisible" members dropped off 10 scarves and 4 earbands. Plus, I turned in 5 baby hats, all from the same pattern but adjusted depending on yarn and my mood. And Louise finished off a hat and fingerless gloves for the homeless plus a lovely baby jacket... I included 2 differently angled shots of the scarves.

I don't know why I haven't been doing this for the past 10 years! This is fun. Plus I think it gives some of you an idea of how much of a difference you can make in your own area. We distribute solely to local needy folks.

For 9 years, it was totally Las Vegas but the past year, there are 2 or 3 little cities/towns within 100 mi from us and our one priest-contact services those totally unserved folks who apparently love, love, love our warm and comfy hats, scarves and fingerless gloves. To me, that is still "local" - if it's within a half day's drive from us, it's "local." We just have so many needy here that it's silly for us to ship elsewhere while the need is still so strong in our own backyard.

So, tomorrow we're in session again and I'll keep working over there on that baby blanket, plus whatever moves me during each week.
