Feeling Lucky vs Feeling Blessed

I was brushing the cat tonight during our get-ready-for-bed routine. During that time (anywhere from 10 minutes to a half hour - she calls the shots), I like to talk to her and she likes to listen. 

I was reminding her of all the good things she's got in the house. And I mentioned that she was lucky. Then I realized that both she and I are not just lucky, we are blessed.

I'd rather feel blessed than feel lucky. 

If I let myself feel lucky, then it just happened, for no other reason. 

If I encourage myself to feel blessed, then I not only feel lucky but I also feel loved. 

How great is that?
