Roofing Issues Being Resolved

About yesterday's leak from the ceiling, I called a contractor I used years ago. He's still around and hopes to get out here later this week and give me an estimate.

About the money for the repair, I called my short term loan company and they will refinance and save me this month's payment. Even though that puts me back to square one with them, it also frees up at least $100 which I can offer toward the roofing patch. I think this fellow will work out the balance if there is any.

Crossing my fingers, toes and eyes (and saying a wee prayer or two or three) that it is a simple thing. Even if it is not, it must get done and I know that.

Father, thank you for showing me the way to the funds I need for this sudden repair. And thanks again for keeping it to such a small deal considering what it could have been.

We had roof and ceiling problems for 12 years. God finally came through, we got the roof fixed a year ago...no leaks and in May the ceiling was fixed along with a few other needed problems in this old house. Rebuilding Together helps Seniors to stay in their home, fixing problems, it is funded by companies. Maybe there is a group or groups that helps Seniors to get things fixed....I would think that with all the money that flows in Las Vegas there should be a place you could go to, to get help for your roof.

I am so glad you finally were able to get that roof done. We, too, have agencies here to help but most will only help once during the lifetime of a home. One of them helped us about 4 years ago - with sealing all around the floor ducts, a new furnace and new A/c unit, new fridge, solar screens, and a few other smaller things. At that time, the roof was not an issue. It's amazing what is available out there if you look for it. I have friends who ignore the help because they do not want to share their bank info, etc., - but we need to give in order to get - it doesn't bother me...yep, we have lots of help here. But you also need to be under a certain income. Often, I'm borderline - but I usually try again in two years if I've been denied, just in case...thanks for caring. Hugs
