The Internet I continue to need because I continue to try to
bring in an income from my handmade, handcrafted items. I don’t sell daily, of
course, but I don’t dare miss a sale, even if only once a month, if I can help
it. I’ll just “close” the shop for a few days, to be sure.
As for the TV, that, too, is not something terrible. I had planned to discontinue the service anyhow, as of Monday. I had hoped, sincerely, to find an analog-to-digital converter box before then. My contract with the service is done now, and I can save $50 a month that way, if I can find someone who no longer needs the box they have. Folks are always switching from analog to digital and giving those away.
Except, tonight, my living room analog TV went blooey on me.
Loud, awful noise and snow. The other 2 old analog TVs are working, so it is
the TV itself. It is really old. Someone gave it to us over 6 years ago and it
was old then. We got a lot of use out of it. I will need to find someone to
lift it and get it out of the house. I can bring the one from my nephew’s old
room to the living room - that one I can lift. Even though it is analog, it has
a built-in VCR, and I still have a lot of tapes, so I don’t mind. It’s lifting
that bigger one off the stand in the living room and hauling it out to the curb
that I need help with. I’ll work on that tomorrow.
