Faith is My Road Service on the Bumpy Road of Life

I have realized that Faith is like my road service, the towing company, on the bumpy road of life.

This morning, in addition to the death on Saturday morning of my nephew, I faced an unexpected problem - car wouldn't start. Had it towed - it was the battery. Had it replaced. With finances down to just my income, and with other issues to cover financially, the battery money ruined my "make it to the end of the month" plans. Still, I was very grateful that it happened in my driveway before I left on errands. I could have been stuck out on the road somewhere - that never makes me a happy camper.

While it was in the shop, my guy checked the leaks I've noticed a lot lately on the driveway. Ready for this? It's my front driver-side axle and my power steering. I must get it done before the end of the month. He suggests in 3 weeks or less. Cost estimate is between $400 and $500. No way can I "find" that money. We had already re-financed our short term loans for recent car sensor issues, and last week's water heater replacement was another blow.

Am I worried? Well, I'd love to say I've got the kind of faith where I do not worry at all but I'd be lying. Yes, I'm a little worried. But experience has taught me that with faith and prayers, it will work out. Being human, I am a little concerned but I will place it in His hands.

And, oh, yes, I'll also ask my beloved friends to squeeze out a quick prayer for me on this one. You all know I keep you all in my own prayers daily...

Father, I am eagerly waiting to see how you are going to resolve this one. I know it's just a little bump on life's road and my journey and I trust you to begin working on it for me now. Bless my faithful friends abundantly, please - especially those so eager to pray for others even though they be burdened themselves.

You are so sweet to care, my friends. Do not worry, either of you. It will work out, as it always does. You two are facing things these days that would totally depress me, but somehow you manage to deal with it - to me, you are both amazing...
Hugs
