He has been in a coma and on a ventilator for about a week now. This has happened at least twice before. This time, they tried to get him off and he only made it one day before they had to do it again - his lungs kept filling up with fluid.
A short while ago she emailed me with heartbreaking news - she says she will have to "let him go" and it's the hardest thing she's ever done.
She hopes it goes easily, as do I, for both of them.

Sweet Jesus, please come and hold Alex's hand, and Mary's, too, as they make this sad and final journey together. Our hearts ache for them. Make it easy as spiritually and physically possible, I pray.
