These beautiful laminated photo collages are great gifts for kids and adults alike. I can even see someone making a pet placemat for furry friends. The tutorial is over at MemoriesOnCloverLane, at this link.
Sarah used Picasa for her collage but she mentions other programs that can be used. She even offers ideas for using your children's drawings. She includes great tips for finishing the project (laminating, etc.) and discusses the approximate cost per placemat.
If you are someone who cannot help accumulating photos of folks who just happen to be on your gift list, you are sure to please them with this thoughtful and unique gift. Nobody else would be doing the same thing, with exactly the same photos, in exactly the same positions, as you are. You can be pretty sure your gift will be special and truly personal and customized.
For other projects in my series, just look along the right sidebar for the label "Christmas Gift Projects." I hope to post only tips that do not require knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, tatting, embroidery, or any other skilled technique.
If you are feeling too crushed for time to make your own gifts this season, check my Etsy shop for items for your gift list.
