Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas - DIY Wrapping Paper Gift Bag

Part of the wonder and surprise of a gift is in the packaging. That is why I have included some ideas of that sort in this series (9/21-12/24) of handmade Christmas gift ideas.
Tonight, the project is about how to make small (big enough for a t shirt) gift bags out of wrapping paper. Carmen at RoCaAndCompany posted this tutorial at this link.

The step by step instructions are easy to follow. She also gives tips for how to make various size bags. This would be a good way to recycle wrapping from gifts we receive and then turn it back into gift bags for gifts we give away.

Although the one in the photo (from her post) is bright and perky, it is very easy to visualize what you can do for the holiday season.

For other projects in my series, just look along the right sidebar for the label "Christmas Gift Projects." I hope to post only tips that do not require knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, tatting, embroidery, or any other skilled technique.

If you are feeling too crushed for time to make your own gifts this season, check my Etsy shop for items for your gift list.
