One More Blessing for Me, and Special Blessings for You

In addition to the recent blessings I posted about yesterday (Asking, Seeking, Knocking), I forgot to mention the letter I received Monday of this past week. Our mobile home is old, a '78. We have not had the funds to do any upkeep on it lately. Two or three years ago, I had applied for "weatherization assistance" but was turned down because our household did not fit the financial guidelines. Back then, I had my limited social security. My nephew was working, and his mother was here and had a very small social security income. We were just a tad over the limit.

This time, I applied back in June, I believe, while my nephew was still out of work. They decide according to the income in the household at the moment of application.

This will be a Godsend to us. Most likely, they will coat the roof after sealing any cracks. They might fix the two leaky back windows. They might fix the mini-gap between the glass and the frame of one of the front windows, which creates a strong draft. There are other things they will check into. You all have no idea what a relief this news is to us! This will take a few months but any messes or inconveniences will be happy ones.

As for my recent posts on the financial issues, my prayers about them, and the blessings received, I share those thoughts with you for one big reason. Most of the "blessings" I mentioned, except for the weatherization assistance approval, are very small ones in the eyes of most people. However, each little blessing that I recognize and appreciate results in uplifting my spirits. This lifts me up to such a level that all the little blessings add to my daily enjoyment of life itself.

Father of all, bless anyone reading this who is in worse shape, financially, than even we are at this moment. Fill their hearts with love and faith. Fill their minds with flexibility so they might see the solutions you place on their path. And heap upon them surprising blessings that they might have reason to glorify you and shout your name.
