Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas - Dollar Bill Butterflies

I found tonight's gift idea, dollar bill butterflies, for our ongoing handmade Christmas gift ideas (9/21-12/24) at AllFreeCrafts. This isn't the first project we've listed from that site. We also posted the measuring cup wind chimes and the recycled greeting card baskets.

This link takes you to the AllFreeCrafts page with the step-by-step instructions for folding any denomination of currency into a really cute and well-shaped butterfly. You need two bills for each one.

These little butterflies could cling to an artificial or real plant like a poinsettia. They could be attached to gifts as an extra treat.

Folded bills make great gifts for those times when you can't decide what to give but just shoving a bill into an envelope seems too cold or impersonal. Earlier in this series, we listed a dollar bill shirt.

Even though we list this as a Christmas gift idea, you can use this for any occasion.

For other projects in my series, just look along the right sidebar for the label "Christmas Gift Projects." I hope to post only tips that do not require knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, tatting, embroidery, or any other skilled technique.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway (deadline Oct 31) for $25 in handcrafted merchandise from my Etsy store.
