Wow, my post last night generated some private emails to me as well as a post from an Etsy shop which sells the precise sizes that keep disappearing (G and H).
Christina's family began snapping up knitting needles and crochet hooks back in 1919, and has thousands to get rid of at this point.
In my case, I picked up 20 crochet hooks (10 "G" and 10 "H") and the total, including S&H, was only $1.19 each. There's no way any local shop has them for that price where I live. Add to that, the ones I chose are "carded" and completely sealed and unused. How great is that?

Now I must go and find a locked strongbox so I can hide them from the mysterious G-and-H-Hook-Gobbler!
Christina also has 9-inch and 13-inch knitting needles at $1.25 plus S&H.
If you do visit Christina's shop and end up buying, please mention you saw it on Evie's blog, so she has an idea how you found her. I can't believe the deal I got.
