I have tried so often to post my handcrafted items online, to try to sell them.
Several times, I have tried eBay. I have at least three friends who sell well on eBay and they have done so for years. For me, eBay is a jungle and very confusing as to fees, structure, and so on.
I have tried several times to sell via a website. I have one up but it’s not good at all. It also is not geared well toward selling. It may end up as just an informational site. I do have a few friends who sell well, from their own websites.
Blogs give me the same headache. Many of my friends do well with blogs. My blog is read, but not frequently. And it surely does not attract buying customers.
Enter Etsy. From the first minute I registered as a user, I was comfy with it. The next minute, I was registering as a Seller, and I was even more comfortable with it. For me, it is a perfect fit.
It is now up and running. As of 1/7/9, I only have a half a dozen items in there, but Etsy allows for custom orders. This morning, just 4 days after putting it up, I received a special order for 24 of my plastic canvas crosses. To me, that is incredible, and it tells me I found a “home.” Or, at least, at home-base for my handcrafted works.
My Etsy link is now on this blog page, and here, as well:

Thank you, Lord, for the perseverance you sent me, helping me try and try again, until I found what you were leading me to.
