4 Generations of Creative Family Members

Working with my new Etsy store (www.evelynmayfield.etsy.com), I am constantly finding new and interesting crafters and crafts. Still, I never expected to run into a family that has four generations, yes, FOUR, of crafters, all with stores on Etsy.

There is a great-grandmother, a grandmother, a mother, and a 12 year old boy. The variety of crafts they do and the variety of products they offer is amazing.

The eldest is Ruthie, whose work is knitted and crocheted and very lovingly done, at www.ohruthie.etsy.com - you will find handbags, bibs, and much more.

Next is Ruthie’s daughter, who is into needlecrafts and other media, and fills her shop with pincushions, “Mossies,” pillows, dolls, brooches, and more, at www.twolefthands.etsy.com - there is a lot of whimsy here and fairies and lovely art dolls.

Ruthie’s daughter’s daughter also has a shop filled with everything from tooth fairy pillows and mug mats and hair clip accessories to paper mache whimsies called “love shacks” that may house fairies or garden gnomes, at www.humblebea.etsy.com

And last but not least, Natalie’s son, Noah, a 12 year old boy who has written three little books. His mom encouraged him to write stories of his scary dreams, but he also has an adorable book about hamster characters at www.darksiderules.etsy.com

They are an amazing family and I am thrilled to have run into them. I hope you will enjoy browsing their shops, but also that you will realize how much creativity there is in all of us, if we but look for it in ourselves.

Thank you, Dear Lord, for helping me discover this amazing family.
