On May 17, we asked for prayers for a dear long time friend who fell and had excruciating pain on both sides of his body when he tried to stand upright. I've recently had very positive updates.
The
first diagnosis was Marel-Lavalee Lesion. The current and final diagnosis is Bilateral
Quad Tendon Rupture or Ruptured Quadriceps [Complete Tear of Soft Muscle Tissue
from Tendons].
He
had surgery a few days ago and the very next day, with the help of PT staff,
they actually had him standing upright and taking brief steps forward and
sideways. Because of youthful addictions, he was only on Tylenol at first, and
now is on Aleve.
He
is now in a rehab facility and walking a few steps with a walker. The pain is
down considerably. It is too soon to know when he might go home but I am amazed
at his progress and I know your prayers had a lot to do with it.
Thank
you, all of you who don't even know this man, for those prayers.
Sweet Lord Jesus, we appreciate all you did to help this friend. At 60, this could have been a whole lot worse, so we thank you also for hearing the prayers of those who cared enough to do that for him. Please continue to heal him and to guide the medical staff so he can go home soon to the pets he and his recently deceased lifemate took in and who need him. Jesus, we trust in you!
