Probably My Most Important Prayer Request Ever

After today's El Paso Walmart mass shooting, it is time for us all to come together on this. We need help from a higher authority than those on earth. We need to all, each and every one of us, pray that for once, for once, all those we have elected will come together and act on this in such a way that it will at least cut down the likelihood of these events in the future. Whatever they do, we need to pray that God Almighty guides them in this. We need for them to heed his guidance, and for once, act in unison for the greater good.

Surely they realize how much their constituents would praise them, and re-elect them, and be ever so grateful to them, for showing wisdom in dealing with this terrible trend that is fast becoming a "norm."

Rather than ramble on, I say simply, instead of talking about it with each other, instead of complaining to each other, worrying, and whatever else we each do, we take a moment and really pray from the depths of our hearts and souls. There really IS power in the prayers of many.

Sweet Lord Jesus, you have seen the awful things men do to each other here on earth. You experienced it personally. From the time your parents had to flee to Egypt, and your own death and the cruelty that preceded that death, you know what we mean. Please hear our plea, our prayers, and help in whatever way you can to guide those in power in our beloved country, to curb this latest violent trend. My words can never match what is in my heart - we trust in you.
