Meanwhile, my brother's prostate cancer radiation treatments
should end Monday. It would have ended today but they lost a day due to the
Memorial Day holiday. On top of their not needing to make that daily trip (15
mi on dirt road, then 25 mi to town) back and forth each day in their old
truck, he can stop 2 Rx's that were highly costly for them.
Another friend's chemo is continuing, and as chemo often
does, the 2nd massive treatment hit her harder than the first. Mine, back in
1999, was only for 3 hr sessions; hers are 8 hr sessions. Praying for her all
along the way.
Another friend's dad had a stroke not long ago and is still
in rehab. The trach is finally gone and I hope and pray that this step will encourage
and help him fight to regain some of his former self.
And one of our "invisible" charity crafters just
broke her leg two weeks ago, on top of a never-fully-knit arm break about two
years ago. This time, she just fell out of bed.
So, I'm praying very hard for my friend's family member,
uncle, if I remember right, and everything to work out well, that they find the
right diagnosis and right treatment, quickly, and for my other friends as well.
Sweet Lord Jesus, we all know your healing powers. Please
look gently and compassionately on everyone involved in these matters.
Strengthen them when they doubt, give them patience and wisdom, and support
them with the best medical teams in each case. And please bless those who take a moment to pray for people they do not even know. We trust in you!
