About a month and a half ago, I asked for prayers for a
friend (see the post here). She had taken one of those new mail-in colon cancer
tests. It indicated she had cancer or a strong suspicion of it.
When she
followed up with doctors, she was advised to get a colonoscopy to see the
extent and to decide on treatment. I asked for prayers for her.
She just had the procedure today. Guess what? That mail-in
test gave her a false positive! There was absolutely NO sign of anything - no
polyps, nothing abnormal in any way.
The good news is that this is good news.
The bad news is that she was worried, rightfully so, for all
that time, until today, and unnecessarily.
Thank you, my friends. It is true that when two or more are
gathered in his name, their voices are heard.
Lord Jesus, you who healed by the simple touch of a hand on
the hem of your garment, you had compassion and heard our prayers. Thank you
for this day's good news. And bless all those who pray for others, and bless
them abundantly!
