Prayers Requested for Friend's Adult Son

A friend, whose son was injured a while ago trying to protect others when he was off-duty (he's a police officer), needs prayers for him. He enters surgery tomorrow. 

They are trying to save his sight. He had other facial injuries as well, and some are still causing several issues, but this is the most immediate concern we all have for him.

 
Father, hear the prayers of those who read this and who generously pray for others in need. Bless this man and his loved ones, and all those he can continue to protect if his surgery is successful tomorrow. Yet, not our will but thine, be done.  And bless those who offer their prayers in this matter, as well.
