Free Prayer Sunday - Worrying About My Appearance

I’m much less vain than most people, given that I’m rather plain in appearance and almost always a bit overweight.  Still, I worry about whether my appearance will distract, offend, or repel people I might need to impress professionally or personally.  I also fear that my appearance will distract them from the matter at hand when we are discussing something important. This prayer helps keep the focus where it should be.

I completely missed posting a free prayer last Sunday. Sorry about that.

I'm marching through my self-published Busy Person's Prayer Book, front to back. This prayer is from the category, My Faults. Worrying About My Appearance

Father, help me care for my body,

Its cleanliness, and its health

Not to a vain degree, but rather,

As a path to my spiritual wealth.
