Free Prayer Sunday - To End Procrastination

I never had a big problem with procrastination until I stopped working “outside.” When I began working from home, or helped with care giving duties for a family friend, my extra-income projects always seemed to get pushed aside. When that round of care giving ended, a new one began. Meanwhile, I kept putting aside this task and that one, until procrastination was part of life. This prayer helps me focus, to ask for the help I need. I might just need to keep repeating this one until I get the upright freezer defrosted - how I hate that task...

I'm marching through my self-published BusyPerson's Prayer Book, front to back. This prayer is the last one from the category, My Faults. Earlier, I posted prayers from the Work category (about jobs, layoffs, etc.), prayers from the Helping Others (homeless, terminally ill, etc.), and Hurting Others (judging others, etc.) categories.

To End Procrastination

There is a task that I must do

Yet I cannot make myself begin;

Please send the fortitude I need

So I may start, so I may win.
