My Beloved Nephew Passed Away This Morning

I might not be online regularly over the next week or two, but I will try. This morning, between 8:30 and 9, my middle-aged "nephew," Frank, passed away from cardiac arrest. I won't go into details right now.

For now, please keep me in your prayers. He did not have insurance so the County will need to handle his cremation. He was a registered organ donor, and they've already called me with all those questions.

Even though we were not "blood," I helped his Mom raise him from the time he was 9 or 10 - he was like my own son. He would have been 57 this month. He had lots of medical issues but his heart had never given him concern until recently. He'd been complaining of frequent "heartburn" the past few weeks but wouldn't let me do anything except buy him some Tums.

Although he and I rarely saw eye to eye, and arguments were common, he loved me as his aunt and I already mentioned I loved him like a son. I will miss him a great deal.

Father, thank you for a truly speedy passing. His pain and suffering were not even a half hour although they must have been intense. Thank you for letting him stay here with me and for letting him help me in as many ways as he could. Hold me when I need holding, and help me to allow my tears to flow and wash away the pain.

Thank you, Linda. Taking the time to say so in the midst of your own life's issues means a lot.
Hugs and prayers
