Prayers Answered in Miraculous Ways

Quick and sweet but heartfelt tonight. My PC has been in “intensive care” since last Friday night. I fried my hard drive and had neglected to back up anywhere along the way. It cost me more than I can afford but less than other times in the past. Miraculously, they saved all my files. This is a first for me. And a lesson learned. God thunked me on the head this time to get my attention – I cannot afford to ignore his fatherly advice any longer.

I found these guys in the phone book. Don’t laugh. My PC was dead. The phone book gave me a few leads . With just a few calls, I chose the lower end in hourly rate. This didn’t worry me because they only had one location and not in a high-rent area, so I figured the rates were lower simply because of less overhead. I have to admit I prayed, a lot, on this choice. I reminded Jesus that he had walked this earth and understood that some things were very important to us. And I asked him to find me someone who cared about what they were doing.

Now, I am re-loading miscellaneous programs, etc. Again, miraculously, these fellows took me under their wing. Not only did they give me back my beloved XP, but they upgraded my Microsoft Office progams from 2003 to 2007, plopped in some virus protection, snuck in extra RAM, and gave me a bigger hard drive than the one they took out. I am better off than when my PC fried.

How can I ever repay these fellows? The money isn’t enough, in a way, even though I will be struggling for the next few weeks, big, very big, time. I will surely need to keep them in my prayers for special blessings.

Sweet, sweet Jesus, thank you for hearing my pleas these past few days. Please bless these techhies abundantly for their help and their skills. And thank you, especially, for leading me to them!

I love to hear stories about God's awesomeness. Would you like to hear one of mine? I'm staying with some friends near DC for a couple weeks. I've been praying about this trip for months, and there are A LOT of little things God has done to make everything go smoothly, but my favorite was him getting me to go into the Smithsonian Castle. The Smithsonian Castle is one of the most beautiful buildings here, but for some reason, going inside didn't seem like a big deal to me. However, my friend wanted to go in so we did. Since we went in the front we decided to go out the back. There is a beautiful courtyard back there lined with cherry blossom trees. We've been in DC a few times to see the cherry blossoms by the Tidal Basin, but none of them had bloomed. These ones had, and I never would have seen them if he hadn't convinced my friend to go inside. :) You can see pictures of them on my blog: http://MelissaSaysWhatever.blogspot.com

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I love stories like this, too. I am hopping right on over to your blog to see those very special photos...I love how he leads us down paths we'd never have the sense to travel on our own...
