Our Raging River of Trouble Has Become a Quiet Stream

Two days ago, I asked for prayers in a post. Those prayers have been answered.

I had asked for prayers regarding our 2001 Saturn with the blown engine. Today we were able to get it to the used car lot where we bought it a little over 2 years ago. We could not do a "trade" for another car on the lot because it would mean needing the cash for the Sales Tax, at least, and that, even for the cheapest, is about $800. However, they are going to "fix" the engine, charge us a very reasonable price and tack it onto the end of the payment plan.

It might only cost us $500 to $700, or even less, for parts. Having a regular mechanic do it would cost, from the estimates we got, from $1100 to $1500. It could add an extra $10 or $20 to our monthly payments, but that is no biggie.

It might take up to two weeks for them to fix it while dealing with their normal routine, but we can handle that.

So, even though we are without it and will need to find or pay for rides for that short amount of time, we will sleep better tonight, thanks to all of you and to the Father.

Lord God, once more, simply said, Thank you! And thank you, Lord Jesus, for sharing with us the knowledge that there is great power in the prayers of more than one when shared in your name.
