Pair of Free Small Ripple Afghan Patterns (Crochet) Coming Your Way

I haven't posted much about my crochet projects lately. However, I hope to post 2 patterns very soon. They are almost the same pattern, just two different sizes.

One will be the small ripple that I use for lap-throws for the nursing home we adopted for our Friday morning charity crafter group. This one is small enough to toss on the lap of someone sitting in a chair or in a wheelchair. It is just wide enough to hang down a bit off the lap on the sides but not wide enough to get caught in the wheels of the rolling chair. It is long enough to cover the ankles which can get cold in institutional hallways.

The other is a larger version, not quite twin-bed size but what I call a "personal" size. It is good for when we stretch out on the couch. I plan to put some of these in my Etsy shop. Hopefully, I'll have the photo of one of these for you later this week.

Anyhow, I haven't yet had the patterns tested but I might put them out there while they are in test mode. I can post any corrections as comments below the pattern, if any changes need to be made.

What I like best about the pattern I developed is that it drapes well. It comes out soft but warm. The side edges look finished enough that no border is needed. The hook is a K and it uses worsted weight so it works up quickly.

Can't wait to share these with you.
