Time-Challenged by God's Challenges

So sorry that I haven't posted in the past 10 days. Even though my nephew's unemployment finally went through, I have been busy and dizzy getting things back on track. I've been dropping off past-due and previously promised payments, calling in similar payments, and doing some online.

I have also been busy finishing a local order for 100 of my satin ribbon crosses in necklace form. I hope to post a note this weekend with a photo of one of those to show how I transformed the bookmark version into a necklace version. You might get a laugh out of some of the obstacles I had to overcome in that area.

The same person also loved some WWJD hanging signs I made last month as a gift for his previous orders. He asked that I adapt that to a little sign that says Jesus is Lord, and ordered 6 of those.

So, all in all, I haven't been lazy about posting, just a bit tied up.

Truth be told, I am sure that I could have found time to do the posts but I am discovering that, at 72, I am not as good at multi-tasking as I once was. Until a year or so ago, I used to be able to handle many tasks a day, some of them interlaced with each other. Nowadays, I'm lucky to get several things crossed off my to-do list. More often than not, I am adding things to the daily to-do list as the day goes along, instead of crossing things off.

The Lord seems to enjoy challenging me. I have to be grateful for that. If not for his keeping me on my toes, I might be sitting on another part of my anatomy doing nothing. Because of these challenges, when I am sitting, at least I am doing something constructive.

Lord God, thank you so much for helping me keep alert. I am overjoyed to realize that I can still use my head and my hands as well as most, and better than some. It helps take my mind off my knees and toes and other parts that are aging not-so-gracefully. Fill me with all the grace and gifts of the spirit that I need to fulfill your hopes for me each day.
