Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas - Corner Bookmark Monsters & More

Tonight's project in our ongoing series (9/21-12/24) of handmade Christmas gift ideas will work as a gift for kids or, with a little change, for adults as well. These adorable monster corner bookmarks are sure to tickle any kid's fancy. The tutorial atTally's website, here, includes a template you can download. Plus, the instructions show how to make a normal, non-monster bookmark, too.

This type of bookmark is a great gift to tuck into a card for "across the miles" folks on your gift list. As often happens, I found this one in my daily e-newsletter from CraftGossip.

Tally covers it all. If you want to use her downloadable template, you just skip the first four steps in the post which cover making the pieces yourself. The template is great, however. It even includes the teeth and eyes.

I love how this can be for kids. And the same idea can be for adults. Just changing whichever paper you use can suit the non-monster style for both men and women, or even kids who are afraid of monsters.

Even people who are not recreational readers can use one of these. They are great for textbooks, recipe books, self-help books, inspirational books, and more. This is definitely something for everyone.

For other projects in my series, just look along the right sidebar for the label "Christmas Gift Projects." I hope to post only tips that do not require knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, tatting, embroidery, or any other skilled technique.

If you are feeling too crushed for time to make your own gifts this season, check my Etsy shop for items for your gift list.
