Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas - Button Wreaths

Ok, after tonight's project for cute Button Wreaths, I promise to lighten up on wreaths for a while. These ornaments are so quick and easy, I just had to share them. I found them via my daily e-newsletter from CraftGossip, and they are over on Jenni's blog, Vintage Umbrella, at this link. This is part of my ongoing series (9/21-12/24) of handmade Christmas gift ideas. Interestingly, they are part of Jenni's series of 24 handmade Christmas ornaments.

This is a great way to use up that huge stash of buttons you have tucked away somewhere. The wreaths look great the way Jenni did them, all bright and colorful. I can also see them in all one color, perhaps a holiday color. They could be alternating green, white, red, as well. Or, all red, all green, all white. It would be easy to graduate the sizes, too. There are so many ways to adapt this idea.

But even with the original tute, these are so cute and so easy. They would make great gifts, wrapped singly or in sets of 3, 6, etc., for those on your list, for this holiday and for holidays to come. Kids would enjoy them, as well.

The photo is from Jenni's post.

For other projects in my series, just look along the right sidebar for the label "Christmas Gift Projects." I hope to post only tips that do not require knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, tatting, embroidery, or any other skilled technique.
