Answer to Hi-Tech Prayer

Monday of this week, I posted about Hi-Tech Prayer. I mentioned how easy it is for us today to share prayer requests and enable more folks than ever to pray for special concerns.

That day, I sent an email to several personal friends who often share prayer requests with me, plus one more who is part of an online prayer chain.

We were praying over the physical condition of a woman who was suffering from lung cancer but whose treatment had to wait until they could control her pneumonia. We left the outcome up to the Lord but prayed for strength to deal with whichever way this went.

Tonight, I received an email from the friend who made the request. The woman we prayed for has passed on. As my friend said, even though they are all saddened by her loss, they are grateful the passing was swift and that this woman is now at peace.

His will, not ours, be done. But it is comforting to know we are not alone in times of worry and frustration. It is comforting to know that many, many people are just a few keystrokes away and we have only to ask for their prayers to be added to our own.

Father, thank you for our hi-tech tools and bless us always with the wisdom to use them for your honor and glory. And thank you, also, for answering our most recent prayer.
