We have been worried about his health issues this past year or so. We've toyed with the idea of trying to get him onto disability because of his severe arthritis, no circulation in his legs, and several other issues. These problems have caused him to work more slowly than he has done in the past. We worried that a high stress job would find him unable to do the work.
Well, this one is part time. That is a good thing. Twenty-five hours of regular pay at minimum wage beats no pay anytime.
The job is in one of a chain of small sandwich shops and he has seen their operations for the past two years and noticed the small prep kitchen. He has also noticed they prepare everything to order which means customers do not expect rapid-fire action because they prefer quality. That is another good thing. He can handle quality.
Another good thing is that he will work days. Considering what a mini-stroke did to the sight in one eye, this is wonderful. He will be safer commuting to work.
One great thing is that he actively pursued this chain. He put applications in at least five of their locations. He wanted this one. He knew he could handle this one. And the Lord saw his efforts and heard our pleas. He is on cloud nine and his confidence in himself and in the Lord is at an all-time high. Yep, this is not a good thing; this is a great thing.
Dear Lord and God, thank you for once again hearing our prayers and answering them in the way we needed the most, not in the way or time that we wanted. Your timing is better!
