Pattern Hoarders

We only have six in our Friday group of charity crafters but we manage to produce a lot of things for the needy. This requires patterns. I don't know many crocheters, or even knitters, who can resist accepting, buying, downloading, or otherwise acquiring yet another pattern. If we lived to be as old as Methuselah, we'd probably still not have enough time, let alone yarn or thread, to try every single one of those patterns.

Stashing them is a challenge. Half of our Friday ladies are extremely well organized. These women actually have the patterns, the one they use most for the needy, in plastic sleeves in binders. That is incredibly wise and efficient and creative of them.

Unfortunately, I am not that wise, or efficient, or creative. Mine (do you really want to hear this?) are scattered all over. Some are in the tote I take to our Friday sessions. Others are in a three separate piles in the living room. I have cartons full of those things.

Crocheters and knitters tend to be pattern hoarders. There's no other way to put it. Are we ashamed of it? Maybe some are. I'm not. Are we gonna change? Are you kidding? What fun would that be?
