Changing Seasons and Hope

Tonight I can't help being grateful for God's wisdom when he created the changes in our geographic seasons.

The East Coast has suffered some terrible heat this year. I'm in the Southwest, in Vegas, and we are somewhat used to the heat. Still, it was especially tough this July - over 100 every day of the month, with most of those days over 110.

What I'm grateful for is that the mornings are a bit cooler now, as are the evenings. No longer is it in the 90s at 5 a.m.

I know from 16 years of living in this area that this means we will have longer cooler spells (90s instead of 100s) during the day, and fewer hours of intense heat. Instead of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. of heat, we'll be down, very soon, to just a few hours a day.

Heavenly Father, thank you today, for Hope!
