Lion Brand - Lion's Share of Fun Stuff

If you haven't already become addicted to the Lion Brand website, you must go there. Some of the fun stuff requires that you registerbut it is free.

Their site has a cute game, Puzzler (go to Community, Games), where you arrange the pieces of a yarn-related puzzle together. I haven't yet beat the top score in the first level (a Lola scene). I am determined to do that before I move to the next level. They have several levels and themes: Lola, yarn basket, yarn skeins, patchwork, granny squares, and twinkle twinkle, which is the highest level right now.

Lion Brand's site also has free yarn-related greeting cards (Community, Goodies to Share) to email for various occasions, plus some to print, if you wish. There is one for the one who taught you to crochet (or knit) and I wish my DM was still here so I could have fun printing and sending this one to her.

For parents of teens, Lion Brand also has a cute comic strip that you can print - how cool is that?

Their folks have not forgotten your computer. You can get free themed wallpaper for your computer's desktop background.

Just visiting their Home Page each day, you can find a Tip of the Day in the scroll side bar. Today's was great, a way to thread a yarn needle with novelty yarn (nubby, eyelash, etc.) - well worth the visit.

I have been receiving their free newsletter for a long time, now, and I've never bothered going past the shop, the free patterns, and info about their yarns. I am so glad I explored Lion Brand's website a little today.

Go have fun.

What a nice comment, Jess. Thanks for peeking in.

I just got an email from a friend in a craft group where I also posted this, and she said:
"Wow, Evie, thanks for sharing. I've never explored their site either. They
have some cool things. I even found a yarn lovers group that meets near me."

Now I have to go back and check to see if there is a group near ME (LOL).
