First, I'll tell you about the great package. And then, I'll tell you about the wonderful woman who managed to transfer her prize to me, and why she did it.
I rec'd two one-pot bags of special roasts: Baxter's Finest and Gourmet 5 Star coffees, plus a one cup serving of Spiced Chai tea. There was also an 8 oz container of French Vanilla powdered creamer, and to finish the package off, I found a wonderful mug with a coffee-colored flower on the side. This is one of those great mugs that is nice and heavy and keeps the coffee hot. This was a fun package.
How I Got Someone Else's Prize
The surprise is that I did not win this. Sarah S won it. Sarah lives in Sri Lanka and won a giveaway from me. We have become Cyber Friends, in a way. Sarah did not need the coffee; she had hoped for one of the other prizes. She found out that my birthday was 9/2, plus she seemed to really love her prize from me, and she offered to have Carla send the package to me, instead of to her. This worked well for all of us. I love coffee but I have not had any in a long time. I am looking forward to my first cup tomorrow morning. It saved Carla postage, as well (she's in the U.S.). I really don't know how to thank Sarah.
Carla's Great Recipes
I can easily thank Carla by letting you know that her site is great. I have just set it up for me to follow it because I do NOT want to miss a single post. Basically, Carla's site is for foodies. Her site is called "Let's Get Cookin'" and her motto/slogan is "Simple Ingredients. Simple Recipes. Unbelievable Taste." I just visited for the first time tonight and couldn't leave before I grabbed and saved some of the recipes. She has great photos for every step of the way for every recipe. You have got to go see for yourself. Be sure to scroll down the side and find your fave food category. You will be there for a long time.
