Camaraderie

Our Sunshine Crafters for the Needy group met today, as usual. This has quickly become a wonderful two hours for several of us. For us, our days are so busy, so tense at times, that we welcome the break. Even though we are still “working,” in a way, on our projects for the needy, it is a joy, a loving thing, and we truly relax for that brief time.

Each lady is excited about finding new ideas and new patterns for “new” projects, yet each one continues to also bring in finished items from the patterns we began with. We are so happy with the thought of our work making someone “feel good” or feel that someone really does care “out there.” It’s a good feeling.

And, as crafters, we all laugh at the same things. The frustration at pulling a clump of yarn from the middle of a skein to find the “end,” the way our pets do or don’t bother the yarn, that type of thing. It’s a sisterhood that all crafters are part of, our own small lives being part of the same part of the lives of millions of others out there.

Thank you, Father, for this feeling of camaraderie.
