First Crafty Thoughts of 2009

This is the first post for the New Year. It should be important but it is not. I recently was blessed with a pair of knitted fingerless gloves. With our Vegas desert-cold mornings, and the heater core going in the old van, they are really appreciated. They made me go searching for crochet patterns so I could make some for myself and others.

A family friend reminded me that she and her DM used to make them for the troops back in the 40s. I remember my DM making things for them, too. Even knitting bandages. It was common then. I know these days many people do little things for the troops, too. Crafters are a giving group. We can’t help ourselves.

Thank you, Dear Lord, that you have blessed us twice - blessed us with skills we can use for our crafts, and blessed us with the desire to use those skills to help others.
