Two things recently made me even more appreciative of the gift I’ve been given to be able to do handcrafting projects.
An internet friend, for the second time in about a year, had to put her work on hold for a month while the pain and swelling in her crochet hooking hand subsided. I cannot imagine not being able to crochet for a whole month. I am fortunate.
Another friend, a neighbor, shared something with me when I mentioned that I take small projects with me when I visit a dear old friend in the hospital and in rehab. She said that while her husband was in for his heart attack, she, too, took along some crochet work. We laughed when she said she only knows one stitch so she didn’t have many things she could do. But she said it soothed her to do that while she was visiting. I am, again, fortunate. I know many stitches, and always have many projects going.
Father, thank you, yet again, for this gift you have blessed me with; help me to see the ways I can use it to help others.
