America and Crafts

December 7 is Pearl Harbor Day, one of our important patriotic holidays. In our country, we have quite a few holidays of that type. As a crafter, I was thinking about that today. I was also thinking about how lucky I am to be in America, and how that fits my crafting efforts.

In our country, we are blessed with many sources for supplies, not just one or two. Many chains for brick-and-mortar stores exist: Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn’s, Wal-Mart, and more. Many online options are available. In some countries, although they have online access, it is not as easy to get as it is here. Also, if ordering online or by mail via catalog, our shipping is lower than other countries, even though we complain about it.

Lord, thank you for blessing me by placing here in the United States; may I always be aware of this great favor you have given me.
