When life creates a tangle, unravel the skein of troubles one loop at a time.

Sometimes life hands us a real mess. The type of mess with all kinds of twists and turns that do not seem to lead anywhere. Twists and turns that cause us to grow frustrated with our inability to get past them and get on with our lives.

I realized today that I should deal with those times the way I deal with a tangle of yarn or thread. One loop at a time. In life, that would be one piece or section of the troubles at a time.

I’m always amazed at the lessons that handcrafting can teach me about life. I’m also always grateful when I learn such a lesson.

Dear Father, thank you for these little lessons that come from such a simple hobby as needlework; thank you for helping me with the eternal project of life here on earth.
