There are so many times that I am grateful that my burdens are not the same as those of some of my friends and loved ones. Those are the times I am grateful that God allows some things to happen to one person but not another - he knows what each of us can bear.
One person I know might, tonight, be out on the street with her family, in another state. My prayers have been with her, but I don’t know her situation tonight.
Another person who I have not seen in several years, in another state, has cancer and will leave this earth within the next six months, a given.
Yet another lives in crowded conditions in a small mobile home and barely manages food for those she shelters and cares for.
These are only a few examples. I noted that Shelly posted something about Thanksgiving coming and being thankful - I need to go read it after I post this. This will definitely be one of the things I am thankful for this year, that my burdens are no more than I can bear, and that I can trust the Lord to keep it that way.
Thank you, Lord, for your kindness in keeping each of us from more than we can bear, and for your help in bearing what you know we can.

Evie,
Thank you for this. Even though I posted about being thankful I am daily reminded how blessed I am. I have a home, my health, my husband has a job, we have clothes and food and my kids are healthy.
Thank you again. Many blessings,
Shelly
