I’m still procrastinating over getting a project-bag or box going. I am going to try again tomorrow. I must put aside a project stash, complete with pattern, hook(s), and yarn and thread.
They should be projects that fit several needs - easy to pick up at odd times without having to stop in mid-row or mid-round; projects that have a definite goal, whether for a gift-stash or a specific need; and projects that fit the yarn or thread supply I have available, to avoid running out and running the risk of abandoning the project because of lack of materials.
I am looking forward to packing that bag (or tote or box or whatever) now that I’ve made up my mind. To do it, I will need to go through all the little piles of WIPs already scattered about and either rip them out or decide they’re worth finishing. I will also need to gather all the little balls of yarn and thread from previous projects and put them away or find a project to fit their size. In other words, I will be cleaning up a mess while I building a fresh, goal-oriented WIP-stash.
This is a great feeling. In a way, I can’t wait to tackle it tomorrow. When I posted yesterday, I did not have a firm plan in mind. The project sounded like a lot of trouble and bother, a nuisance. Now it sounds like fun.
Father, thank you for your guidance in this project; I know it was you guiding me, because on my own, I would have simply let it slide once more into oblivion and clutter.
