More Prayers Answered on Neighbor's Broken Leg

Back on April 20th (link here) and again on May 16th (here), I talked about the neighbor who goes to MI each summer and broke her leg her first few days there in mid-April. Along the way, I have been worrying because of lack of feedback from her and/or her husband that perhaps something worse was going on. I feared that along their travel from NV to MI, she might have contracted C19.

Today I did finally get an in-depth email from her. For some odd reason, I had completely overlooked the fact that she had broken her femur, the upper leg bone, the one in the thigh. To me, it is far more difficult to adjust to post-surgery for that than for the lower leg bone. Add to that her age, 70, and her sciatica issues. She is staying at her son's, 25 mi from the RV park her hubby manages in the summer, and is having home therapy 4 days per week.
She is trying to learn to walk again, using a walker and beginning to learn to use a cane. It is still painful deep inside her leg where the broken bone is pinned together. She has a primary care doc appt. on Thu. and is hoping for some pain meds.

She hopes to go back to her hubby and their RV this coming weekend. He drives several days a week back and forth after his work day and on weekends. She also misses their 2 fur babies.

For now, I thank you all so much for your prayers. I feel much relieved. I am sorry for her pain but at least it's not fatal as C19 could have been.

Sweet Lord Jesus, thank you so much for your compassion and mercy in watching over this woman, her husband, and the fur babies. Please continue to hold them in your heart and help her to heal more quickly than we might expect and bless her with a doctor who understands her age and condition and her pain level. We trust in you.
