Keeping Things in Perspective – Thanks, and Forgive Me

Thank you, Father, for the patience you sent me today after my initial impatience and fear. After I learned that my PC lost all my files in an overnight update, you helped me to take a moment and think things through.

And, once again, I didn’t even think to ask you for help until after I spent the first two hours ranting online about my predicament. You are so patient with this poor mortal.

Yes, it took 3 hours out of my long to-do list for the day. And yes, even now, half of my programs will need a lot of re-setting of preferences, but for now, I’ve got what you know I need most and I know where to find it.

Sometimes I think you sort of shake me up a bit to keep me alert, on my toes, and not so set in my ways that I refuse to budge. That can happen so easily for an 80-year-old. And sometimes I think you distract me from things I planned to do because you know better than I that perhaps it was not the right time to do this or that.

So, after all is said and done, I do thank you for your love, your help (even when I didn’t think to ask for it), and your patience!
