Went to Walgreens, to the bank, gassed up the car, and made
one store stop. That took almost 3 hours altogether. Out here, we’re expecting
up to 108 in temp today. I was home before 11 but it was already so hot, I was
sweating just getting out of the car and taking things into the house.
I knew I also had an early one tomorrow. I was scheduled to
be at the center for both a mammogram and an ultrasound, the first since the
lumpectomy, by 7 a.m. Of course, I wasn’t
really looking forward to that but had made up mind to make it as easy on
myself as possible.
Suddenly, around 2 p.m., I received a phone call from the
imaging center. It was about tomorrow’s very early appointment. They wanted to
re-schedule. My new appointment is next Wednesday but a tad later, at 9 a.m.,
which is a lot better. Plenty of time for breakfast and no rush hour traffic.
Is our God an amazing God or what? I never, never expected
that. I’m overwhelmed, at times, by his generosity and compassion.
Short and sweet: Thank you, Father!
