Great PCP Visit This Morning

The checkup at my PCP early this morning went very well. I haven’t seen him since last October when he referred me for the scans for the lumpectomy.

Both my cholesterol and tri’s were up. He was okay with that after I explained those hormone blocker pills the oncologist prescribed were messing with my carefully worked-out food routine. I was too often too tired to be bothered with the food prep I needed to do and I was falling back into old habits. When I was too tired to prep and nothing was sitting there ready for me, I resorted to convenience foods. Messed my labs up a bit.

We talked about the other side effects which, too, were messing with daily life routines. I went off those pills last Wednesday and already notice the difference. I do see the oncologist next month and we can discuss that then.

But for now, my PCP was smiling. I love to make my doctor smile.

Thanks you, Lord Jesus, for being with me always in my daily life. Thank you for having led me to the foods that work best for my health and for a doctor who is on the same page as I. I pray for similar good results in Thursday’s mammogram and breast ultrasound. I trust in you.
