It’s Been a Quiet Few Days

I’m grateful that it’s been quiet for a few days. It gives me chance to do some thinking about the issues facing me - car and home repairs. I’m not too worried because I know God is working on the problems, finding a way for me to afford to get them done.
Noticed some braking issues the past few days, too. Adding that to my list of the tires still to be paid for and the tie rod job that needs to be done. So far, the biggest issue with the house is still the re-piping underneath. Yes, it’s all costly, but I have often been amazed at how God works it all out for me.

Meanwhile, I’ve been checking local apartment complexes in case down the line I need to sell and move. One thing I have asked the Lord, though, on a purely selfish note, is that he give me about a year for that kind of move. I do not want to get myself sick with a rapid-fire switch in living places. I’m not sure I could emotionally handle that if it’s too quick. Still, I’ve been through worse. Just not at this age. And, not my will but his, be done.

Seriously, considering what some of my friends are going through, my life is blessed. I have some dear friends in another State who are dealing with a move. The new apartment will be on the ground floor and easier for them to deal with, considering his health issues.
But between them, they barely have one good body. They are a whole country away from me so I cannot help them with the physical move. All I can do is pray that they somehow find some great help and that they do not hurt themselves worse while packing and moving. She is always in pain, as well.

Yep, when I look at what others are facing, I am blessed indeed.

Father, thank you for letting me see all those around me in great need. While I cannot do much for them, I can surely pray for them, for their earthly peace and well-being. Please be compassionate and merciful with them. You have said if we ask, we shall receive. I am asking, for their sakes, and pray that they will receive.
