Just when I
thought I needed to add some cooling of some kind, the guys from the A/C
contractor arrived and put in a new blower motor.
This whole
issue was a bit tricky. Two years ago, a local agency “weatherized” my old
mobile home and part of that included a new AC/Heating unit. A year and three
months later, the blower motor went out. The agency approved emergency funds to
replace it. This time, when it went out, it was only eight months later. The
agency has no funds right now - they are waiting for their next fiscal year’s
inflow, in July. The contractor said the blower motors are only warrantied for
3 months. But the contractor felt so bad for the situation, they scrounged
their storage area, found an AC/Heater unit they recently took from a home that
had upgraded theirs, and the blower motor was good, so they yanked that and
brought that over. Bottom line? Nobody charged me anything - is the Father good,
or what?
Of course,
I have no way of knowing how long it will last, but for now, the cat and I are
not perspiring or uncomfortable. The contractors think there was a bad batch of
those parts a year ago, so hopefully this one is a different batch and will
hold for a while.
I know some
of you prayed with me on this one, and I thank you for that. Apparently, you
have a “connection.”
Father, thank you so much for your help. I know it was two days, but you worked it out before we expect to hit the triple-digits tomorrow. You are amazing and I am so ashamed for all the times I work myself up with worry when you take care of what I need, always. Please bless those who prayed about this, and bless them abundantly, including the contractor’s staff.
