Water Heater Went Flooey

Tonight our water heater "blew." I couldn't figure out why I didn't have hot water for the sink for dishes after dinner. A quick look around back, outside, showed water pouring out of the water heater "closet." I turned off the water to the house, which stopped it temporarily. Our old heater does not have a separate shut-off valve.

One of our dear friends, a neighbor, drove over to check it out for us. He's done quite of few of these over the years. His feeling is that the inner glass lining cracked and we have to replace the unit. It is over 17 years old, though, so we are grateful that it lasted as long as it did. It's almost a record, I should think.

What I'm facing is a lack of funds. I will ask a friend for a loan for this repair tomorrow, early. If he cannot help at this time, I will try to finance the purchase at Loews (the only place locally which sells them for mobile homes). I don't think that will work, though, because my nephew and I both have bad credit.

So, as I approach the ending of this day and night, I am praying, hard, for this to work out in the morning.

Father, you know what we need, even better than we do. Please begin working on the solution and sending us all the faith, wisdom, and help we need to take care of this household emergency. We trust in you, and ask this in your Son's name.
