For those who do not know, Etsy is an online mall featuring handmade items. Members are welcome to create a collection of 16 items by different shop owners, with a common theme, and present them as a "gallery."
The gloves are some of my faves - white with white fake-fur trim at the fingers. The Treasury is titled Soft and White, curated by Amy Birnbaum, at this link. Amy has gathered lovely items in wintery white. I love this collection. It includes several different white-on-white pillows, photos and other framed art (all either white or featuring something white), my gloves, several lovely flowers, a sweater and a blouse, a few hats, and so much more. There is also some lovely fabric. Almost everything is hand-crafted.
Amy has a shop of her own, called Paper Cut Reflections. She creates beautiful works of art by making intricate cuts on paper. Her work is stunning and includes everything from silhouettes to in-depth images. The designs are original and hand sketched, not computer generated, and everything is hand-cut.
Her subjects run from sports and wildlife to Catholic themes and even a yo-yo! There were a few in the Catholic category that I fell in love with.
I have always admired anyone who does this type of work. It has another name, scherenschnitte, and I have never, ever been able to pronounce it.
I am grateful to Amy for featuring the fur-trimmed gloves from my shop. Treasuries are always fun because the other items in the gallery and in the curator's shop allow me to discover new shops and new fave items for the future when "my ship comes in."
